Holistic Approach
In addition to the usual games, tournaments, and practices, we encourage our players to excel in the following areas:
Strength Training
Our players strength train in the on and off seasons with Coach Ty Singleton at Utmost Athletics. Coach Singleton specializes in training baseball athletes and has extensive experience in the baseball world. He is currently an Assistant Coach at Clark College and won a State Baseball Title at King's Way Christian. Coach Singleton also coached softball at the collegiate level, taking his teams to four NCAA Tournaments and while coaching at University of Missouri was named Big 12 Coach of The Year.
Recruiting
Our staff is exceptionally experienced and connected in the current process of college recruiting at all levels and professional baseball evaluation. Their service to FCA players include helping them understand what skill level and physical development it takes to compete at the next level, what specific college programs are looking for in their student-athletes, and identifying factors in finding the athletes “right fit” for their academic, and athletic goals.
A “right fit” also includes financial and cultural considerations. How to communicate with college recruiters and the timeline process are implemented. Advising is also done for each player on their specific goals for college showcase opportunities. Review of players expectations, observers present, costs, timing, exposure, location, efficiency of measurable data and video capture, and the players current physical and skill level development process are key areas of importance.
The players God given baseball ability, the development process for that ability to reach its potential, and the players desire for achievement in the game will determine the opportunities to compete in college and beyond.
Community Service
We believe in the importance of serving our community. Each year our team will participate in 1-2 community service projects as a way to give back and encourage team bonding.
Spiritual Growth
While we welcome players of all beliefs, we are a Christ-centered baseball team. We organize several team Bible studies throughout the season.
